There are perhaps many things I'd rather be doing today, and sitting on a motorbike in the Pyrenees is one of them. Must be where everyone's gone, except me, so maybe the roads will be a bit crowded. Yup, they're too crowded so I wouldn't want to be there and am thuis happy I'm here.....nope, not working, would rather be there whatever. Anyone here seems to be a foreigner. Have 7 languages spoken here and they all seem to be utilizing them this morning making my pigeon french seem pitifully inadequate. What happened to summer...still, at least there've been plenty of unseasonal takers for our corporate umbrellas. Can't believe my kids are off to their big schools. having twins means I get no respite from any phased bills or anything and yesterday spent a whole day charging around the country buying clothes that no one would want to be seen dead in. My daughter spent the whole time pulling all the skirts down to her hips where they didn't fit (what IS that fashion all about then?) and my son was banging on about wanting a padlock for his new tuck box....I'm sure I didn't have to worry about such things in my day. At least his hair is outrageously long so at least he LOOKS as if he's rebelling a bit. Right, better get outside then and there's suddenly enough blue sky to stitch a pair of sailors trousers together, or whatever the expression is.
